the weekend in sheffield

Today I was travelling to Sheffield for a friends birthday, perfect time to practice some night game. i caught the train with barely seconds to spare. Sitting on the train can be pretty tedious so straight after the train had arrived at the station, i got talking to guy waiting by the door, it turned that he a student to going out for someone's birthday too.

anyway come to the evening and met up with MrT ( i was staying at his overnight). He was deeply into neil strauss' way and favoured me some of his DHVs, namely the nmonics and five questions. Finally we set out into the feild first hitting up some bars.

approach 1-

I found that this happened as a reaction, when MrT was in set i was literally left standing looking like a fool. And thinking i had to react fast; seeing a two set to my right (HB 7 and 5) they looked in there early 30s but nonetheless, projecting my opener:

me - let me get opinion on something

HBs- what, cant hear you!?

me- shouting a bit Let me get your opinion on something

HB - Just looked at me, so i continued on with opener, i actually noticed that when i lightly touched one of the HBs closet they started leaning in more and looked more attentive

HB(7) - goes umm, definately men!

and trying not to get the other HB bored i asked her making eye contact, she couldn't really give a straight answer so the other girl butts in and says shes not really good at this sorta thing

me - i expand upon the HB(7) answer and lead onto the past experience i had where her answer correlated to the story. Afterwards i decide to get both of their opinions on the subject

HB - replies a car

me - thats definately not in my budget and throw her off asking for her friends opinion, and again she is really indecisive after a couple of umms and ahhs Hb7 cutts her off again and kinda mocks her.

me - fluffing up the convo, so how do you know each other are you best friends?

HB - ye totally

me - have you ever taken the best friends test?

Hb - no

me - whats your blabh blah blah

HB - whoa!

me - anyway its nioce to meet you, what are your names?

HB- someone and someone (cant remember to be honest)

after this i didn't know what to do or say ? any suggestions?

afterwards i close the set with something like ill probably see you around or something

thinking back closing the set was pretty cringable! how could i have developed it further, and what explains one of the girls cancelling out the other?
